‘Soil nematodes’, well not an immediately recognisable problem. Often a plant wilts or turns brown. This can be the result of (bad) soil nematodes. Soil nematodes are located near the roots of the plant. They then suck up the juices that go from the root to the plant above ground. As a result, parts of the plant do not get enough nutrition, causing the plant to grow poorly or, in the worst case, even die. It is therefore also wise (if a plant is partially turning brown or dying) to look at the roots of the plant to see if that is where the problem is. Soil nematodes often cause nodules on the roots, blocking the sap flow. These nodules are often easy to see.

Application

Can be used for ornamental gardens, kitchen gardens and tub plants by watering or soil treatment (see application). Edible crops can simply be consumed.

Use

Shake before use. Treat from March (or during transplanting of e.g. roses), after which repetition after 4 weeks is desirable.

Pour on: First scratch the soil superficially loose. Then dissolve 50 ml Pireco in 2.5 litres of water (for 25 m²) and water the soil. Then ‘rain’ with plenty of water (10 mm).

Soil treatment: Dissolve 50 ml of Pireco in 2.5 litres of water and apply to the soil near the plant's hair roots. Make holes about 15 cm deep with a stick (10 per m² of root surface). Pour about 250 ml of solution into this and reseal the holes.

Safe herbal concentrates

Pireco Soil Nematodes consists of a specific acting, natural mixture of herbs. It is safe for humans, animals and bees. The remedy is absorbed by the roots of the plant.
